It's now my 2nd month here in dA. I must say I'm enjoying myself. I created this account as a spur of the moment thing, I never expected that I would actually become an active member of this community. It's just that the people here are so nice. I get inspired whenever someone comments on or favorites my work. I hope I continue to have fun here.

Anyway I've been tagged by , a great artist who has also been kind enough to leave plenty of comments on my works. This is the first time I've been tagged here in dA (or anywhere for that matter )

So here are the rules:
1. Post these rules
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random facts about themselves
3. Tags should write a journal / blog of these facts
4. At the end of the post 8 more persons are tagged and named
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them they're tagged


Here are my 8 Random Facts:
1. I started becoming obsessed with dA after reading the final installment of the HP series. I wanted to see fanarts of Sirius Black, so I googled "Sirius Black fanarts", and I got linked here to dA. I never thought I would eventually be drawing my own fanarts. And although I got introduced to dA because of Sirius Black, I've never actually drawn a picture of him where he's the center of attention. I've only drawn him three times, and they're all of him being just a minor character.

2. I got addicted to James and Lily (and the Marauders) by reading an awesome fanfic about them. I don't even usually read fanfics, I just came upon this one by accident. (If you guys want to give it a shot, here's a link: My Reflection by Astrid Elisabeth)

3. I learned everything I know about Photoshop by googling "photoshop tutorials" on the internet

4. I [semi] play the piano. I started taking lessons when I was 5, quit when I was 8, took them again when I was 11, quit again when I was 14, took them again at 18 and quit again at 20. I plan to take them them again when I get time ^_^

5. I want to learn different penspinning tricks. The only ones I can do so far are the thumbaround (and reverse), infinity, charge, korean backaround and fingerpass. I'm still trying to learn the sonic right now.

6. I'm not really a big anime fan. I watch them when I have time, but the only anime I've really watched are Deathnote, Kare Kano, Boys Be, Rurouni Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi, Flame of Recca, Grander Musashi, and Cooking Master Boy. (Mga pinalabas sa AXN dito sa Pinas dati, nung wala pang Animax ... 'cept for DN and Kare Kano) Most of the time I only watch stuff that my sister tells me is good (she's the anime addict ^_^)

7. I draw my fanarts in chibi-style because I can't draw realistic people. I have trouble with proportions, so most of the stuff I draw looks deformed. Chibis are great because they're pretty deformed by themselves to begin with, but it somehow ends up looking cute

8. I don't own a scanner, nor a tablet. I draw my stuff in my sketchbook using pencil, ink it with a gel pen and I take an overhead shot of it using my digi-cam. It usually takes me a couple of tries before I get a good shot to use as lineart. (My hands are pretty shaky and I always manage to get my own shadow in the picture )
