Sleek!

Okay, I've been going around reading journals here on dA for the past hour, and so far all the entries regarding dA's new layout claim that they don't like it.  Hmm...

I haven't really had time to explore dA's V6 yet.  Yesterday was extremely busy and for some reason they blocked dA at the office!   I'm not too worried though ... they usually block some sites when they need the bandwidth for something else.  It's happened a couple of times before, and they usually unblock them again.  I do hope they do that soon though.  

Anyway, I did manage to check my messages last night.  I must say, although the new dA is indeed very "sleek" and trendy, it's also very confusing!  Now I can't view all the new deviations on my devwatch at the same time?  The message center also confused the hell out of me~  I only get a few messages everyday, but now it seems as if it'll take me longer to get through all of them...

But what bothered me the most (and it appears it bothered a few subscribers as well) was that non-subscribed members also get previews of the deviations and messages in the message center now!  So what's the point of buying a subscription?  So we can have a colorful journal?  

I do hope dA does something about this.  I don't have a lot of complaints like some people.  I'm actually willing to try out this new version.  I might even end up liking it.  I'm sure a lot of people worked hard to be able to make this new version.  But I also hope that dA listens to some of its members.  And hopefully they'll make some improvements on the subscriber features as well.  Because right now getting a subscription doesn't seem worth it anymore.


Anyway, I've been extra busy this past week.  We're getting ready for a science exhibit this coming Wednesday.  I've been in charge of making some posters, delivering some letters and lately, handling the money.  Our treasurer has been sick with Dengue fever this past week, so I've been assigned to manage our office division's money temporarily.

I've also been worried about Dengue fever lately.  It seems to be spreading quite fast again these days.  Probably because of all the rain.  I do hope the people who got it gets better soon.  And I also hope that it stays aways from me.
